My name is Jake, and I never thought I would be in a position like this — begging strangers to help me save my sister’s life.

My little sister Sarah, just 17 years old, is lying in a hospital bed right now, fighting through pain that no child should ever feel. She was diagnosed with a severe intestinal blockage, and the doctors say she needs emergency surgery to survive. Without it, we could lose her within days.

The total cost for the surgery is ₦190,000. My family has struggled and managed to raise ₦70,000, but we’re still ₦120,000 short, and time is quickly running out.

We’ve sold everything we can — my dad’s okada, our TV, my mom’s market stall goods. But it’s still not enough. Every minute we wait, her condition worsens. She can’t eat. She can barely speak. Her eyes are tired, but she still says to me, “Jake, I don’t want to die.”
